About the Position
Digital Promise Global is looking for an enthusiastic Software Developer with experience building dynamic websites using full-stack JavaScript. The developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Learning Positioning Systems web app, which provides tools and resources for ed-tech product developers and educators to incorporate powerful research into their work. The developer will also have the opportunity help shape the product and the strategy behind it.

Skills and responsibilities


  • Write high-quality JavaScript for front- and back-end purposes
  • Write high-quality CSS and HTML
  • Oversee the stability and up-time of the LPS web app using the command line and AWS tools
  • Help develop architectural solutions to new and existing challenges
  • Contribute to product decision-making to improve the LPS web app
  • Investigate and resolve bugs
  • Develop unit tests to help ensure code quality

Minimum qualifications

The preferred candidate will hold a technical degree and have:

  • At least 1 year experience in web development using full-stack JavaScript
  • Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Familiarity with Angular 2 and TypeScript
  • Familiarity with the command line
  • Experience with AWS products and tools
  • Experience with a version control system (e.g. Git)
  • Experience with React and/or D3.js is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage competing tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A passion for education, a team mentality, creativity, and a positive “can-do” “yes-and” spirit.
