We are looking for a Data Innovation Lab Technical Project Manager to work in the region's first Data Innovation Lab. The Data Innovation Lab will focus on solving COVID-19 induced problems through data driven solutions.

Data Innovation Lab Technical Project Manager
  • To be accountable for the management of solution projects within the Lab
  • To oversee, communicate on, manage and promote delivery projects
  • To establish and maintain the project time reporting structure in support of project reporting, estimation and budgeting
  • To ensure that there is common commitment to deliverables, by acting as the “glue” between disparate teams
  • To manage dependencies across all stakeholders and contributors, within a project and between projects
  • To identify potential risks and issues, and resolve or escalate with advice on options
  • To coordinate the approval process for moving between phases in the project lifecycle
  • To act as focal point for defining, implementing and maintaining processes, standards, controls and measures, coaching as required on artifacts and deliverables within the appropriate project methodology
  • To deliver consolidated reporting of the status of each project:
  • Ensuring that all contributors deliver their input on time, liaising with them as necessary and advising them on their submission;
  • Thereby providing centralized visibility and effective status communications to internal business/ stakeholders

Skills and responsibilities

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in project management with a technical emphasis
  • Experience of the project lifecycle, ideally in a software delivery environment
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies highly desirable
  • Knowledge of and training in project management principles, tools, techniques and processes
Work Experience
  • Major contribution on significant projects or programs
  • Resource Management experience
  • Exposure to some elements of the technical and commercial program context, i.e.:
  • systems / software solution design, build and implementation
  • customer insight creation and application
