The City of Orlando's IT Department is responsible for all enterprise and digital applications for the city. 

Performs professional and technical work related to system integration while being a hands on Manager. The incumbent manages, plans, develops and provides technical oversight for software integration between core business software systems, including ERP, police and fire CAD, records management and permitting/code enforcement including facilitating project teams, identifying resources and establishing project objectives, schedules and milestones, and developing standards for integration system architecture. The incumbent is responsible for identifying technical obstacles and managing complex troubleshooting efforts within the team, is able to quickly understand business needs and translate these needs into technical solutions. 

Skills and responsibilities

Additionally, the incumbent must understand cloud technologies, lead, mentor and manage integration developers, recognize automation opportunities and understand common network protocols, system administration, security protocols, awareness of spatial data concepts, database structures and scripting and be a strong application developer. Must be able to think analytically and solve complex problems, to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and to enhance and enforce standards. Assignments are performed under general direction and supervision of the Client Support Services Manager and work is reviewed through audits, meetings and results obtained.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and four years of systems analysis and cloud technology experience required, two of which must have been in a managerial capacity or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must pass police background investigation and may include a polygraph examination.
