Description

The U.S. Department of Justice is the principal federal agency charged with enforcing federally protected civil and constitutional rights. The Civil Rights Division is primarily responsible for enforcing federal statutes and executive orders that prohibit, among other things, unlawful discrimination in education, employment, housing, police service, public accommodations and facilities, voting, and federally funded and conducted programs. The laws that the Division enforces also prohibit conduct by law enforcement agencies, as well as conditions of public residential institutions, such as health care and correctional facilities, that violate the Constitution.

The Product Manager is responsible for delivering user-centered products by coordinating and guiding cross-functional design/development teams.

The Product Manager will lead team efforts to:
  • Conduct user research and analysis;
  • Build and refine product roadmaps;
  • Design, test, and launch new roadmap features;
  • Message and communicate about the product(s) to internal and external users/stakeholders;
  • Assess how well product(s) are accomplishing CRT's goals (i.e. success metrics);
  • Advise CRT Leadership (CRT's Front Office) as well as the Chief Information Office on professional knowledge and expertise related to their products;
  • Collaborate with CRT leadership to develop appropriate success metrics for those objectives/goals;
  • Ensure portfolio products comply with applicable federal requirements such as Authority to Operate, the Paperwork Reduction Act, and Section 508;
  • Message and communicate about the product(s) to internal and external users/stakeholders; and
  • Assess how well product(s) are accomplishing CRT's goals (i.e. success metrics).
The Product Manager also serves as an advisor for the products in their portfolio to senior leadership. They are also a coach, teaching and sharing modern product development practices (think: agile, user-centered design, Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps)) with CRT personnel.
