 The Unified Government is seeking a creative, collaborative Director of Technology Services who brings strong technical skills and savvy leadership ability to lead the Department of Technology Services (DOTS). The Director will play a key role in bringing enhanced digital services to residents, businesses and employees. 
This senior leadership position is responsible for all aspects of the networks, computers, and technology systems that support the Unified Government; securely deploying and delivering technology across a wide array of departments; and leading the adoption of digital services. The Director leads a skilled and motivated team of 20+ dedicated professionals who provide high-quality customer service across the organization. With a budget exceeding $4 million, the IT Director plays a critical role in directing strategic technology investments. The IT Director reports to the Chief Knowledge Officer. 
The Director will play a key role in successfully delivering a number of initiatives underway, including: implementing Microsoft OneDrive and expanding use of Office365 tools; driving cloud-first approach to storage and solutions; connecting all public buildings to the UG’s private fiber network; piloting public wifi; selection and configuration of key software systems; and supporting data sharing and cross-system integration projects. The Director will also have responsibility for developing a technology strategic plan; Governance model; technology refresh model; and a technology surplus recycling program.
